Privacy Policy

FARMIKA — Farm & Livestock Management. Last updated: 14 October 2026.

This Privacy Policy describes how FARMIKA ("we", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application, optional public farm web pages, and related services.

1. Information we collect

2. How we use it

We use your data to provide the app's features: managing your farm, animals, breeding, health, backups, push and in-app notifications, ownership succession, related-site bookmarks, optional public farm pages for buyers, weather forecasts and scheduled weather alerts, and (if you enable it) AI assistance — sending your request through our servers to the farm owner’s chosen AI provider so the assistant can reply. Data is stored and processed using Supabase and related infrastructure. Crash reporting for the mobile app is handled by Sentry to help us fix errors.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your data. Data may be shared only as needed to operate the service (for example cloud providers such as Supabase, Vercel, and Cloudflare; crash reporting via Sentry in the mobile app; Apple for App Store purchases, push delivery, and WeatherKit) or when required by law.

If you enable a public farm page, the published fields in section 7 are visible to anyone with the link. Clicking Location, email, phone, or WhatsApp on that page takes the visitor to Google Maps or their own email, phone, or WhatsApp app — that communication does not pass through FARMIKA.

AI providers receive data only when you send an AI request after consenting in the app. They process it under their own terms. FARMIKA does not use AI providers for advertising. Provider privacy policies: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI.

4. Security and retention

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. Related-site passwords are stored encrypted and are not included as readable passwords in farm backups. Farm AI keys are stored encrypted in our database and are write-only for owners (the key is never shown again after save). Vault key material is restricted to farm Owners and Admins. You can export or delete your data via the app (backup/restore and account options).

Account and farm data are retained while your account is active and as needed to operate the service, subject to our Terms of Service and applicable law. Public page content remains published only while the farm keeps the public page enabled; turning it off stops us from serving that content (subject to the short cache windows in section 7).

Infrastructure providers may keep brief operational access logs (for example request path and, at some layers, IP address or user-agent). Supabase server and image-delivery logs are retained for about 1 day; Vercel runtime and proxy logs for about 1 hour. Those logs are not stored in FARMIKA's own database.

AI chat history and attachments you see in the app are stored on your device (not as a permanent FARMIKA cloud transcript). Provider processing and retention of prompts you send are governed by that provider’s terms.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port your data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. These rights may also apply to a person whose contact details appear on a published farm page, even if they are not the account holder.

To exercise rights or ask questions about privacy, email farmika.support@icloud.com, use the Support page linked below, or the contact details in the app (e.g. Farm Profile). If you are in the European Economic Area or Spain, you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos — AEPD).

For the AI Assistant: the first time a request would be sent to a third-party AI provider, the app asks for your permission. Choosing Not now keeps AI sending paused. Even after you allow it, nothing is sent unless you send a message to the assistant. You can withdraw consent in the AI Assistant settings (gear) without deleting the app.

6. Service providers

We use the following categories of providers to operate FARMIKA:

Public farm pages may also include outbound links that, if clicked, take the visitor to Google Maps (town-name search only, not exact GPS), or open email, phone, or WhatsApp on the visitor's own device. WeatherKit is not used on public farm pages.

7. Public farm pages

FARMIKA lets a farm Owner or Admin choose to publish a public web page about their farm. Public pages are off by default. A farm's page becomes public when an Owner or Admin turns the public-page switch on, or when an Owner or Admin lists at least one animal for sale (available or reserved). When public, the page is available at a public link (for example /s/<farm-slug>) with no login required.

What becomes public

Only farm-provided information the Owner or Admin chooses to publish is shown, for example:

What is never made public

Discoverability and contact details

Anyone with the link can view the page. Pages ask search engines not to list them, but that is not access control — the page may still be shared, scraped, or archived by third parties outside FARMIKA's control. Contact details on the page are publicly visible and may be collected by others (for example for unsolicited messages). Publish only contact details you are willing to make public.

Turning publication off

An Owner or Admin can disable the public page at any time. After that, the page stops serving the farm's content. Short cache windows may apply: page HTML may remain briefly available (about 60 seconds fresh, and up to roughly 10 minutes while a stale copy is revalidated); gallery, banner, and logo images may remain in a CDN cache for up to about one hour; sale-listing photos are not intentionally long-cached by FARMIKA. Copies already saved or archived by third parties are outside our control.

Visitors to public pages

FARMIKA does not create buyer accounts for public page visitors, does not store visitor profiles, and does not run analytics or tracking scripts on those pages. When a visitor uses a contact button, the message goes directly from their own email or messaging app to the farm's published contact — FARMIKA does not see or store that conversation.

Standard operational logs may still be kept by our hosting and CDN providers (for example request path and user-agent; at some layers, IP address or country): about 1 day on Supabase (server and image-delivery logs) and about 1 hour on Vercel (runtime and proxy logs). Those logs are not stored in FARMIKA's own database.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app or related services after changes constitutes acceptance. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
